Screen Guide — Appointment Booking

Purpose

Visitors pre-book a service for a future date and time slot.

Form Fields

Field Required Notes
Service Yes Select the service you need
Date Yes Must be after today; max 3 months ahead
Time Slot Yes Available slots shown after selecting a date
Visitor Name Yes Max 255 characters
Email No For confirmation and reminders
Phone No Optional contact information
Notes No Max 1,000 characters; visible to staff
Recurrence No Daily, Weekly, or Monthly with an end date

Slot Availability

The system checks existing appointments for the selected service and date to determine available slots. Slot duration is based on the service's estimated duration. A slot is shown only if it is not already fully booked.

Recurring Appointments

  • Weekly: Select day(s) of the week and set an end date
  • Daily: Automatically creates appointments for each day until the end date
  • Monthly: Creates appointment on the same date each month

Day-of Check-In

On the appointment date, go to /queue/checkin:

  1. Enter your name and tap Search
  2. Find your appointment in the results
  3. Click Check In to convert your appointment into a live ticket

Rate limit: 5 bookings per 10 minutes per IP address.
